How can you improve your workplace facilities and encourage active travel to work?

Did you know there are grants available for businesses to support cycling and sustainable travel to work?

Businesses across south Dorset are invited to apply for grants to improve workplace facilities that encourage active travel to work.

The scheme not only focuses on encouraging employees to cycle to work, but also facilities such as showers and lockers that will encourage employees to walk to and from the bus along with walking and running to work.

The aim of this new grant scheme is to encourage more employees (and employers) to adopt sustainable forms of transport to commute to and from work. It also aims to promote the use of the 78km network of new sustainable travel routes, currently being delivered across south east Dorset as part of the Transforming Cities Fund programme.

If you're a business with employees, located within 2km from one of the six Transforming Cities Fund sustainable travel routes and you have a genuine and long-term commitment to encouraging your employees' choose low carbon or carbon free travel to work, then this scheme is for you.
